Medha Patkar - Right or Wrong

I don't understand what she is upto. Once in a blue moon she will be in news and she will be fasting. She only relates to the matter of Sardar Sarovar Dam project, she doesn't even care a damn about other issues. So as of now this tree hugger, destitute friendly lady is in critical condition. She has to understand that we as a country need the power plants and big projects, which Pundit Nehru aptly termed as temples of modern India.

Some times I get this gut feeling that she is being funded by some one else and she is just like a marionette and she is being controlled by strings. Why she is only concerned with the state of the poor, where was she when Jessica Lal got murdered? Where was she when Priyadarshini Mattoo got murdered? It seems that she is insentient towards those issues.

I sincerely wish Ms. Patkar well and hope that she stops this hunger fast and gets well soon. Her death will really amount to nothing but a few moments in media frenzy over Narmada dam and thats about it.
